Celebrates 70 Years of Growth
This year marks the 70th year of business for Robin Industries as a high quality custom molder of elastomers and plastics. Robin was started with grit and determination by Mr. Fred Nonneman in 1948. It has grown from its humble beginnings into a world class company serving automotive, medical, defense and various other industrial customers.
While many things have changed over the years, the company has never deviated from our founder’s passion for excellence and his commitment to ethical business principals, quality products, superior customer service and loyalty to our employees. In keeping with our founder’s wishes, Robin continues its tradition of loyalty to its employees with our transition to an ESOP company. Robin employees will soon be 100% owners of the company through an Employee Stock Ownership Plan. This fulfills the longstanding desire of our founder and gives every employee an ownership stake in Robin’s success.
We have also held fast in our commitment to Ohio manufacturing by maintaining the center of all our operations here. In addition to our headquarters, located in Independence, Ohio, we have three manufacturing facilities and a development center located in Holmes County. While we have had a longstanding global presence in Mexico and China with manufacturing facilities to serve those regions, Robin has never deviated from its commitment to making quality products in Ohio and keeping jobs in the USA.
Robin has also accelerated investments in technology and equipment in Ohio, with the addition of 3D printing capabilities, automated vision systems, and expanded clean room facilities, as well as additional design and material development resources. This is all in keeping with our commitment to offer our customers the latest technology for the design and manufacture of high quality custom molded parts.
